CCU MEN’S CONFERENCE

We at Calvary Chapel Upland are excited to invite you and your fellowship of men to our 9th Annual Passing the Baton Conference to be held on Saturday, January 25th, 2025. The Lord has laid this ministry on our heart and we consider this conference to be an important one, especially in view of what seems to be fewer and fewer faithful young people (especially men) serving in the church. God has called CCU to be used of Him to equip fathers to faithfully train and raise up godly young men and women from within their own homes and, in general, “to prepare and arm men for their role in bringing godliness to the next generation.” Our prayer is that our Lord will use this conference toward that end.

This year our teachers will be Pastor Gary Malkus, Sr, his son Pastor Gary Malkus, Jr, and myself. We will be led in worship by Richard Andrew. I am looking forward to how the Lord will use these men to encourage other men who truly desire to pass godliness to the next generation!

It is my personal conviction that every Dad should be at a conference like this; it is indeed purposed for any man who desires to be used by our Lord in the lives of younger people, whether they are our own kids, nephews, nieces, grandkids, neighbors, etc. This conference may also serve your Men’s Ministry as a Father-Son event.

Thanks for sharing this with your men and may our Lord Jesus bless you as you continue to serve Him!

If you’ve experienced the loss of a loved one due to an overdose or addiction-related crime, if someone you care about is currently fighting addiction, or if you’ve successfully overcome addiction yourself, we invite you to join us at Light a Candle for a Loved One. This event provides an opportunity to connect with local support services, listen to personal accounts of how addiction has affected others in our community, and take part in a transformative candlelight vigil walk around the lake at River Walk Park.
